POSITION - Hill/Medieval borough FEATURES - Tana dell'Istrice (Porcupine's lair) is owned and managed by wine producer Sergio Mottura. His is the decision to transform the original family house into a small and welcoming inn, where you may enjoy the quiet of a medieval village, surrounded by verdant fields and vineyards. Few miles from the hotel you can easily get the opportunity to explore the neighbouring areas and great interesting places such as Orvieto, Viterbo, the famous Bomarzo Monster's Park and many others. The structure is situated in a manor house of medieval origin, restored in the Sixteenth Century. It is in the heart of Civitella d'Agliano, a small agricultural centre located between Orvieto and Viterbo.
ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES - Completely restored, the house currently is composed of nine comfortable double rooms and three suites, all including private bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, hair dryer and every facility designed to guarantee a pleasant stay, including an Internet plug.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: smoking is not permitted in any area of the hotel. Pets are not accepted.
In the Summer time guests may cool down at our private swimming pool, a blue spot situated amongst the vineyards, only about one km. way from the village. Beneath the house, picturesque and cool cellars, carved out in the local tufo stone, go about 15 metres down into the earth, providing an ideal environment for production and conservation of Mottura's sparkling wine.
