POSITION - in valdichiana, hill (320 mts)

FEATURES - The stone cottage, built in the 19th century, is at a height of 320 mt, near the old route connecting Foiano to Castiglion Fiorentino, in a panoramic position with a spectacular view of the old castle of Montecchio and Cortona, just a few minutes’ drive from the farmhouse. S. Savino Mountain, Lucignano and the Trasimeno Lake are all quite close, offering plenty of cultural attractions and folklore of international renown.
The cottage is situated in the Chiana large valley, a natural beautiful environment characterized by low hills, each of which conceals an endless number of varying landscapes. Cereals and corn are grown in the valley bottom, and hills are covered with olive-groves and vine-yards, gradually replaced by secular woods when going towards Cortona’s mountains and the first Appennines.

ACCOMMODATION - The owners (mother, father and daughter) live on the ground floor, and take care of welcoming their guests and managing the agricultural estate (some 80 hectares).
The second floor (access by typical stone stairs and panoramic loggia) is made of a living-room with a large fire-place, a sitting room with a sofa-bed for two additional sleeps, a kitchen-dining room, a bedroom with two beds (may be converted into double bed), a double room, a bathroom with shower, and a large double room with private bathroom and Jacuzzi. The apartment is tastefully decorated and welcoming, in line with the cottage atmosphere.

FACILITIES - The cottage is surrounded by a fully-fenced 4.5-hectare park, with a nice swimming-pool (6x14 m) in a panoramic and sunny position, fully equipped with beach-umbrellas, deck-chairs and sunbeds. A barbecue and other equipment are available to eat in the open air. The owners are glad to share their large and rich vegetable garden, different herbs and fruit trees with their guests.
