FEATURES - The dimora is situated in the town of Torrita di Siena, a 14th century village in stone a few kilometers from Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, and Cortona. It rises majestically on a splendid hill surrounded by cypresses and age-old olive trees, which act as picture frames for the stupendous panorama. As soon as you cross the gate of this historic dwelling, you embark on an artistic and poetic experience that is a perfect fusion between the harmony of nature and the harmony of contemporary art, intelligently combined so as to make the property a unique place to stay.
The reception desk is in a large and pleasant hall where old beams and stone walls vibrate in a moving dance together with numerous pictoral, sculptural, and design works of art. The shapes and the colors magically embrace the entire village within the interior atmospheres, the rooms, and the surrounding park. This makes the property an unusual and luxurious place to stay, offering a rich atmosphere of emotions and combining the pleasure of the spirit with the rest of mind and body.

ACCOMMODATION - Each romantic and welcoming room is unique, enriched by warm shapes, figures, hues, and colors, prepared in every slightest detail with the clear intent of astonishing and enchanting our guests’ emotions. Wooden beams, fireplaces, arches, and old stone walls have been carefully restored to their original splendor and mingled with significant works of contemporary art and design, thereby creating a special union of the poetry of the ancients with all the modern comforts. Our splendid rooms face a charming panorama and come with bathrooms that include showers and independent hair dryers; mini refrigerators and satellite TV; and independent entrances and parks that face a hill immersed in a sea of nature. The typologies of rooms are three, Suite, Superior room or Junior room. The Suites are the rooms big, comparable for dimensions to an apartment. The Superior rooms are really spacious and besides the bed room have also a wide hall. The Juniors rooms do not have the hall, but they are any way very comfortable.

FACILITIES AND SPECIAL COURSES - Painting courses, cultural tour in the most important cities of the Tuscany, wine tours in Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Chianti area, body relax massages, excursions with horse, convention with a swimming pool (45 m X 15 m) near the property, well-being treatments personalized in the thermal center of Montepulciano, car renting, mountain bike renting, transfert service with car driver, private parking, etc…… are some of the other services for every customer, for a stay full of refinement, calm and beauty.

PAINTING COURSES
In a place where the art is one of the force points could not just lack a course of this kind. This extra activity so unusual and original contributes to make even more special the dimora. The courses are developed inside the gardens or in the olive groves of the property, for a minimum of two people to a maximum of 12 participants, that are instructed step after step by a teacher, that will teach them the principal techniques and secrets of this noble art that it is "the painting". Purpose of the course is to let approach neophytes and more experts to the painting, furnishing the bases of the technique or sharpening and improving what is already learned. A stimulating experience, that contributes to pull outside the emotions of each of us, with the colors and the brushstrokes engraved on the cloth.

ADVANCED 2 lessons for 2 persons total price Euro 600,00

Technical: Study of the perspective, the color and the shadows, painting with acrylic and oil.
Every student will be followed in the realization of a personal work.
In the course the material is comprised (cloths, colors, piece of chalk) and upon request a translator in English language.

BASE 2 lessons for 2 persons total price Euro 500,00

HOT AIR BALLOON TRIP
One of the first dreams that Man has, even in infancy, is surely to be able to fly. At the property we can make this happen for you! Close by, only 4 km away, you can take part in an excursion by hot-air balloon. This will give you unrivalled views over the Val d'Orcia, the Crete Senesi and the beautiful medieval cities of Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino. The appointment is at dawn at the launch site, where you can take part in the inflation of the balloon, and shortly after rise gently into the sky. From this vantage point you can enjoy the magnificent panorama, and the forms and colours of this unique region. At the end of the balloon flight, which lasts for about an hour and a half, you are offered a champagne breakfast in the field where you land, before returning to the point of departure by safari-style open-topped jeep. The whole trip takes about three and a half hours. The flights are for a minimum of two and a maximum of four people. It is even possible to organise private trips for honeymoon couples, or for couples who wish to enjoy the experience in romantic privacy. The flight is organised by a team of professionals with many years of experience in the field.

BRUNELLO di MONTALCINO-WINE TOURS
Montalcino owes its name to the holm-oaks (ilex in Latin) which surround this hilly area.The stronghold of Montalcino has always been of capital importance due to the town's strategic position on top of a hill. Wine characterised Montalcino's culture and history, which actually is the country of Brunello.The country exclusively produces this wine from Sangiovese Grosso vines 100% ).The average production, depending on the season, reaches almost 8.000.000 bottles yearly.A ruby color, a typical scent, a dry, lightly tannic taste stand as its major, succesful features.With an average strenght of 12.5% min., Brunello is put on the market after January 1st of the sixth year following the vintage as it spends at least two years in wooden casks and it gets refined in bottle for 4/6 months.The departure is at 9.30 a.m. from your hotel or villa in Siena and Province.We will take the south direction until we will stop at a little winery which produces Brunello di Montalcino wine.After a nice visit and private wine tasting, we will drive on between clay rolling hills and vineyards, we will pass the Monte Amiata, to stop then in Montenero.We will visit a very small extra virgin olive oil producer, where we will enjoy to see how to make and to learn how to taste extra virgin olive oil, grasping every single perfume and aroma, sitting on a terrace overlooking one of the widest view of the Val d'Orcia area. We will drive on among vineyards of those wineries where are produces the most famous wines....we will stop,instead, in Castelnuovo dell'Abate in a very small winery family owned, where the old man and his sun with passion produce since a long time the Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino.We will enjoy a nice lunch in the old cellar between barrels and barriques.We will enjoy bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil and fresh tomatoe, home made liver patè,Pecorino cheese,home made pasta...and of course we will taste both the wines produced,picking the differences and discovering why.During the harvest, end of September,a nice lunch is served in the vineyard with all the farmers who pick the grapes by hand...it is very funny! After lunch we will enjoy a nice walk around the village of Montalcino,admiring one of the most beautiful view of the area. The return to your hotel or villa is at around 5 p.m.

TUSCANY IN BIKE
For the most part, Tuscany’s hundreds of paths are unknown and hidden in the region’s uncontaminated green hills and valleys. They can only be crossed and appreciated by mountain bike. If you do do not want to miss the chance to see this natural beauty, you’re invited to participate in bike excursions as a couple or in a group, escorted in complete security by the expert Bicyle Tour Guides of the property. Our excursions are adapted to cyclists of any level, age, and degree of experience: We can propose calm and romantic tours for couples or families with children or more-active sporting tours for the most expert bikers. Then, after a beautiful bike trip, we will be more than happy to give you advice on a good restaurant should you wish to enjoy an abundant and well-deserved meal. We offer half-day or full-day bike excursions. You can preselect your route from trips that range from Val d' Orcia to Val di Chiana, from the vineyards of Vino Nobile of Montepulciano to those of Brunello di Montalcino to the banks of the Trasimeno.
