Casale la Favorita, with the adjoining old country House, frescoed by Mariano Piervittori (XIX century), is located in the heart of the Bianchi smallholding, owners of the whole company unit since 1933.
Its origins are older, dated back to when the Baron Pompeo Danzetta, thanks to his wife Angela Friggeri ’s dowry, bought the property.
The old country House is situated inside a vast secular park where you can visit the small church dated back to XVIII century. Inside the church the patriot Pompeo Danzetta’s funeral monument is still preserved, departed during the uprisings against the Papal States.
The farm activity started again at the beginning of twentieth century, thanks to Vincenzo Bianchi, who obtained during the following years impressive results for his maize production and for his chianina race cattlebreeding; from here the origin of the name of the race “chianina favorita”.
