Built it the early 1920s, it’s 275 square meters (3,000 square feet) of living space have been completely modernized without sacrificing their original detail. The Villa’s 2,500 square meters (.62>acres) of landscaped gardens are located on the edge of the medieval village of Torre Alfina, overlooking Italy’s Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve . Situated at an elevation of 620 meters (2,034 feet) the Villa offers crisp, fresh air and wonderful views over Latium, Umbrian and Tuscan countryside.

The Pergola (grape arbor)
Everyone loves the pergola. It’s the focal point of the garden, and its overhang of grapevines offers an oasis of shade and hospitality. It’s easy to be transported by the birdsongs, neighboring donkeys braying, and tolling church bells in the piazza. The pergola is a perfect gathering point for many, or a tranquil refuge for one.

The Garden
Wild yet contained. Majestic trees, lavender and grapes mix with bursts of color from a profusion of flowers thanks to Signor Arnaldo Pepparulli, the Villa’s caretaker for more than 30 years. If you time it right, he’ll gladly share the bounty of the vegetable garden, so fresh you will be tempted to stay home and cook. In winter, you can roast chestnuts dropped from the 150-year-old tree in the side yard.
