VILLA AURORA

FEATURES- The Villa is located on a small hill which overlooks Lake Trasimeno towards the fortified outline of Castiglione del Lago on one side and the neighbouring gentle hills of Tuscany on the other.

Alba: This is a major suite. Built on two levels, from the turret of the farmhouse there is an enchanting view. The princely four-poster bed will enclose you in a red and white cloud, while on either side of the bed statues of angels will guard you as you sleep! No attention to detail has been spared in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including a large fireplace on the first floor to warm your winter evenings. View of Lake Trasimeno. Aurora: The delicate colours of this room make you feel immediately well and relaxed. The light is particularly accentuated by the gold reflections of the bedhead, of the paintings, of the mirrors and the picture-frames. There are gold finishings everywhere including the bathroom where you can find a rural washbasin cut in stone. There are beautiful seventeenth-century style frescoes on the ceiling, while the Empire-style bathroom offers a relaxing bath.

Chiaraluna: The delicate shades of green make this room very restful to the eyes despite the elegant details of the furniture. The bedhead, lamp-holders, and the feet, taps and fittings of the Empire-style bathroom are in moonlight silver. In a stone corner the bath itself gives the room a sense of completeness and yet unreality. The bathroom depicts a malicious Cupid catching sight of Flora bedecked in flowers and a luxuriant nature.

Crepuscolo:In this room blue blends softly with other colours, making the room both austere and yet delicate. You will feel immediately at your ease in this room, attracted by the elegant details such as the ceiling frescoes and the exclusive chandelier. The bathroom has also been designed in a very harmonious style.

Rosso di Sera: This is a major room. On the bedhead you are welcomed by sweet cherubs bearing the sixteenth-century arms of the "della Corgna" family, Dukes of Castiglione del Lago. The warm shades of the walls offset the shining gold and silver of the picture frames and lamp-holders. The play of light in the bathroom gives a feeling of warmth and emotion.

Solleone: In this room a deep scarlet red predominates and creates an atmosphere of majesty. The room is made precious by the wonderful fresco in seventeenth style over the bedhead and the grotesque painting over the fire place. In the bathroom you find a delicate contrast between the refined crystal chandelier and the rough farm wash-basin escavated in the stone.

Tramonto: When you enter this room you feel a sensation of peace and relaxation, and the shades of green of the curtains, the bed linen and upholstery make you feel immediately at your ease. Every attention to detail has been paid in order to give you the maximum comfort. Art and furniture blend perfectly, the four-poster bed and the fireplace in front of it being just an example of its magic harmony.
